The WAHID ABDULLAH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP was established in 1997 to honor the memory of Wahid Abdullah, a 17-year-old academic scholar at Colonel White High School, whose life was abruptly ended by violence at the hands of another teen. This scholarship was founded by Jim Bucher. Applicants must: * Be a graduating senior or current college student from Montgomery County, Ohio * Preference will be given to students who to major in communications and/or journalism * Be accepted to a two-year, four-year, technical school or college or university * Demonstrate community service * Financial need will be considered if all else is equal
