African-American Community Foundation - Paul R. and Frieda M. Miller Memorial Scholarship
The Paul R. and Frieda M. Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to African-American residents of Montgomery County. Graduating seniors who plan to attend a historically black institution may apply. Preference may be given to students who plan to major in education. Marilyn Miller-Lewis established this fund in honor of her aunt and uncle, both educators at and graduates of historically black institutions, who wanted to give others the opportunity for educational success.
Applicants must:
- be a graduating senior of a high school in Montgomery County,
- have a minimum GPA of 3.0 based upon a 4.0 scale,
- demonstrate financial need, and
- be accepted at a historically Black four-year accredited college or university (HBCU) as a full-time student at the undergraduate level pursuing a degree in education.
