Madonna Wine Goss
In January of 2003, Madonna Goss met with The Dayton Foundation to discuss the creation of a scholarship fund to be activated at her death. After talking with Foundation representatives, she decided that she would like the pleasure of seeing the students being awarded and participating in that process. As a teacher of vocal and instrumental music, Mrs. Goss wanted the scholarship to be awarded to students planning to major in music education. A video tribute to Mrs. Goss can be found here:

Applicants must:
- be a graduating Montgomery County, Ohio, high school senior,
- be a full-time student majoring in music education at an accredited four-year college/university,
- be involved in community/school activities,
- demonstrate financial need, and
- have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a scale of 4.0.
