Daryl Jones Memorial Scholarship

Daryl Jones was a coach, teacher, mentor, friend and family to many in the Dayton area. His love of his God and country, dedication to team building and lifelong dedication to empowering and unifying his local community were evident in his daily life. This scholarship, in memory of Daryl Jones, is for high school graduates in the Dayton and surrounding areas who exhibit the qualities that he strived to instill in individuals who he coached, taught and befriended.

Applicants must:

• be a graduating senior from the Dayton area,
• plan to major in education although candidates with a desire to be a coach or mentor after college will be considered,
• have a minimum GPA of 2.5 based upon a 4.0 scale, and
• be accepted to a two-year, four-year, college or university.
