Kettering Education Foundation - Sally Roush Brown Scholarship
Kettering Education Foundation - Sally Roush Brown Scholarship was established in 2006 to honor leadership and high achievement. Through this scholarship, the founders hope to foster an interest among Kettering graduates in becoming the next generation of leaders. Sally excelled as an English teacher and once remarked that she never truly understood the rules of English until she had 25 beaming faces asking, "but why Miss Roush?" Sally had a lifelong fascination with elephants. She revered their intelligence, their strong family connections and their sense of history. She traveled extensively to interact with elephants and to collect elephant figurines. The sale of Sally's collection of nearly 3,000 elephant figurines funded much of this scholarship.
