Mike Zimmerman

Mike Zimmerman serves as the Oakwood Schools Foundation’s administrative director.

A native of Kettering, Mike recently returned to Ohio after spending the majority of his professional career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He now resides in Oakwood with his partner, Sara, and son, Fox, who attends Smith Elementary. In Philadelphia, Mike was a proud member of multiple development teams, contributing to the city’s rich history of philanthropy. Most recently, Mike served as the interim director of individual giving for the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation. Prior to the Free Library, Mike served as the membership manager for the Franklin Institute and as the annual giving programs coordinator for the Barnes Foundation, two of the city’s most visited cultural locations.

Outside of work Mike enjoys jogging and biking around Oakwood, reconnecting with friends, cooking and hearing all about his son’s day at Smith Elementary.
