Vandalia-Butler Foundation - Kathy Huston Clemens Memorial Scholarship
The Kathy Huston Clemens Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by the family and friends of this Butler High School graduate to award college scholarships to Butler graduates pursuing a degree in education. Kathy Clemens was a beloved third-grade teacher and the 1998 Teacher of the Year in Houston, Texas. She was tragically killed in 2000. The fund is administered by the Vandalia-Butler Foundation Board of Trustees.
Applicants must:
- be a graduating senior from Butler High School,
- plan to attend a four-year college or university as a full-time student,
- plan to major in education,
- have a minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and
- demonstrate financial need.
