Vandalia-Butler Foundation - Butler High School English Department Distinguished Senior Scholarship Fund

The Butler High School English Department Senior Scholarship is awarded to honor the Butler English Department teachers who have as their mission to teach skills in writing, the use of language as a tool of effective communication, understanding, critical thought and civility in public engagement. The scholarship is to be given to a Butler High School graduating senior with a strong interest in the liberal arts and/or the profession of education.

Applicants must:

• be a graduating senior from Butler High School,
• have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and
• be planning to major in one of the liberal srts or in rducation.

Preference given to a student with financial need, with other criteria being equal.
