Valley View Schools - Muse Machine Carrie Vanderbeek Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1994 by friends, family and staff members at Valley View High School in memory of Carrie Vanderbeek. Carrie was very active with Muse Machine productions and was planning to pursue a degree and career in the performing arts. Her experience with Muse Machine was profound and inspired her love for the performing arts. This annual scholarship provides financial support to further the education of a student within the Valley View School District who shares Carrie’s great love and enthusiasm for the fine and/or performing arts.

Applicants must:

• be a graduating Valley View High School senior and
• plan to major or minor in the fine or performing arts. Fine arts examples: painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, architecture or creative writing. Performing arts examples: music, dance, drama, technical theater or film studies.

Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate participation in activities pertinent to their area of interest like art exhibits, writing seminars, musical dance or dramatic performances.
