New Development Staff Join the Foundation
Nakia Lipscomb
The Dayton Foundation is pleased to announce that Nakia Lipscomb and Marianne Requarth have joined its Development and Donor Services department.
As the new senior director of development, Nakia has nearly three decades of experience in banking, finance and wealth management, most recently as assistant vice president and trust officer for LCNB National Bank. Prior to that, she served 18 years with PNC Wealth Management in Dayton in a variety of roles, including lead banking advisor. She currently serves on the board of directors for the National Conference for Community & Justice of Greater Dayton.
Marianne Requarth
Marianne brings more than 20 years of fundraising experience to her role as the Foundation’s director of development. A University of Dayton graduate, she has worked for several nonprofits throughout her career, including the Air Force Museum Foundation and Cincinnati Children’s. Her most recent position was senior philanthropy officer for Dayton Children’s Foundation, where she worked with individuals and foundations on making major gift and grant commitments to the organization.

Amy Wagner Is the New Senior Vice President of Operations
Amy Wagner
The Dayton Foundation welcomes Amy Wagner as its new senior vice president of Operations. Amy has more than 25 years of experience in human resource and operational leadership, most recently serving as president and chief operating officer for Ohio’s Hospice, Inc., where she oversaw all aspects of the state-wide organization.
A lifelong Dayton-area resident, Amy earned her bachelor of science in business and human resources management from Wright State University. She is an active community volunteer and currently serves on the boards of Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School and chairs its Campus Operations and Facilities Council. Prior board associations include the Muse Machine, National Hospice Cooperative and OHI Hospice, Inc. She also is a youth volleyball coach.
Amy joins the Foundation’s Operations staff, which currently includes Jeanne Holihan, who has served as the senior vice president of Operations since 2018. The Foundation is excited to have Amy in her new position and sincerely thanks Jeanne, who will retire at the end of March 2024.
Foundation Earns Green Business Certification, Joins Nationwide Coalition to Address the Impact of Climate Change
The Dayton Foundation recently joined with organizations across Greater Dayton as a Certified Green Business through the Montgomery County’s Dayton Regional Green Initiative. With the help of staff, the Foundation has implemented green operational practices, including adding recycling bins to each office, reducing the use of lights, electronics and printer paper, as well as other efforts. Additionally, the Foundation has joined a coalition of more than 30 community foundations across the nation in launching the Community Foundation Climate Collaborative. This coordinated effort, managed by the Community Foundation Opportunity Network, is working to help local communities secure funding and more effectively respond to climate change. Federal, state and private funding dedicated to climate projects is occurring at unprecedented rates, and the work of this Collaborative will help leverage funding and prioritize efforts to help communities most affected by climate change.
